Updates on Kingsway Evacuee Pickup location, Volunteer Needs and Supply Needs!

Kingsway Evacuee Pickup Location Evacuees can pick up supplies such as clothing, toiletries and essentials from the old Target space at Kingsway Garden Mall. Cut off time is 5:30 pm. Anyone in line at this time will be able to still pick up.

Volunteers All of the following places need volunteers tomorrow, Wednesday May 11th, 2016! Volunteers are encouraged to just show up.

  • Kingsway Target store - 10:00 - 19:00
  • Days Inn West Edmonton (10010 179a St) is also desperate for volunteers. No confirmed hours yet, will update as soon as I hear back.
  • Edmonton Emergency Relief Services (10255 104st) 9:00 - 19:00
  • Edmonton Emergency Relief Services (Hangar 2 at 3631 - 56 Ave) 9:00 - 22:00

Supplies Requested

The following are needed at the EERS Hangar location ASAP!

  • Shrink Wrap They are out and are desperately in need of this tonight or tomorrow morning!
  • Colored duct tape
  • Large heavy duty garbage bags

The following can be dropped off at any drop off location!

  • Gently used or new luggage (we can use this to fill as a bin)
  • Hinged bins
  • Laundry baskets
  • Towels and facecloths
  • Blankets and pillows
  • Razors - men and women
  • Hair Care products (full size) mens, womans and childrens.
  • Hair brushes and combs
  • Beauty products are nice to have
  • Tooth brushes and paste
  • Feminine hygeine products
  • Deodorant - mens and womans
  • First Aid supplies (bandaids etc...)
  • Flip flops - mens, womans and childrens - variety of sizes
  • Sunscreen, mosquito repellant
  • Purses, gym-type bags and back packs
  • Toilet paper
  • Laundry soap
  • Kleenex
  • Underwear and Socks - mens, women's and childrens - all sizes.
  • Baby items such as diapers, wipes, creams, bottles, formula, pacifiers
  • Gift Cards or certificates of every kind
  • Pet food and supplies.
